VOLUME 12 – NUMBER 539

Caleb and the kiddos sledding

Quinn

Gloria, Troy, Kai, Caleb, and I went sledding. Then we saw Veidi on a walk with the dogs. We asked her if she wanted to go sledding with us, and she said, “I’ll do it if someone holds the dogs.” Then she went sledding, and then she left.

Troy found a ramp. We were taking turns going on the ramp. Then it was my turn, and it was almost time to head home. I went on the ramp. It was super, super, super fun.

Then we went home and had hot chocolate. and yummy, yummy, yum, yum! The chocolate was delicious!

Caleb teaching at family home evening

This whole week I was feeling really good. I was doing a lot to keep me busy, like planning my days a little, doing gospel study, practicing the piano, studying Spanish, and playing some video games with my brothers and sisters, just to name a few.

This week we did family home evening! Me, Kai, and Troy taught a lesson about personal worship. Then we played a game that Gloria recommended where you race to stack some Solo cups with a teammate while only using your face.

I'm pretty sure Gloria and Mom won in the finals against me and Dad! Then we had some brownies that Isaac made for everyone. I had a lot of fun, and I hope we do that as a family more often.

Family playing games (11/24/2023)

This week was really fun. We went to Sophie Zimmerman's birthday party. It was awesome.

We played a game that was a combination of musical chairs and spoons—when the music stops you have to grab something from the table and not be the last one. We also played mafia and murder in the dark.

At the soda bar, where we could make our own sodas, one of Sophie's friends, who's name is Ashylnn, mixed together all of the sodas, juicers, and purees, and was really hyper and crazy, like funny crazy. Then she joked around and said she was in a sugar coma, and that if a doctor were to draw blood, it would be pure sugar.

Then after we were done at the church, we went to Sophie’s house. We talked and then watched a movie called, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. It was pretty funny.

Later on in the week we had a party for Bridger Zimmerman, and we did a couple of the same things that we did at Sophie's, but I think the biggest highlight for me was murder in the dark. It was really scary, especially when we had three murderers and we made the voting anonymous. It was really suspenseful.

Later on in the game, I got Sophie to think that I was the murder, and pretended to kill her. It was really funny because, as I was chasing her, she ran into something in the dark, and I felt bad. Then, as she was starting to feel better, I started chasing her again.

Then it got really scary, because there was only a couple people left, but we finally voted off the real murder, and won. It was all really fun, and I am so glad that the Zimmerman's invited us.

Ellie and Charlie at the store

This week we went to Sophie's birthday party. I had so much fun and playing the games they had. There was a good amount of people who were there.

Later that night I left early because I was going to hangout with Riley, Aiden, and Monte. We went to Swig, and then and back to Aidens house. We watched a show and played a few games.

On Tuesday for our activity there was only three young women, but it was really fun because we went to the Kearns Seminary and experienced Lehi's dream by walking in the dark holding on the pole until we got to the tree. The tree was the only light we ever saw.

On Wednesday, Riley and I went to Nielsen's Frozen Custard to get ice cream.

On Saturday, Aiden and Monte helped me drop off my ask to Sweethearts to Riley. I had a fun time doing it and having them help. After I dropped it off, we invited Riley to hangout.

Once he got to Aidens, we went to Swig, and then we all watched Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Gloria’s Sweethearts invitation to Riley

I went to Bridger’s 19th Birthday party on Friday! It was super fun. I got to see Jace (a good childhood friend I hadn’t seen in a while), and I was able to get back on good terms with Kade Rosenlof!

On Saturday, Aiden and I helped Gloria with her Sweethearts poster, and dropped it off at Riley’s house. We then invited Riley over to hang out. We started by going to Swig, and then back to Aiden’s house to talk details about their sweethearts dance, and how me, Aiden, Jace, and possibly Kade are going as 1960s mafia body guards.

I can’t wait, because it’s just gonna be hilarious. We all picked out names. My name is Antonio. Getting into character is gonna be the best part! It’s crazy the fun you can still have even if we don’t get asked.

Mom talking to Owen

This week we went to Sophie’s birthday party. We ate pizza and it was super delicious. We played mafia and another game that was a musical chairs and spoons mix. I was the first one out and then the next round I made it longer.

Then we played a game where has each other's name. It was super hard and it takes a lot of brain muscles trying to figure out who has who’s name. We ended in a tie.

Then we went to the Zimmermans house and watched A Man Called U.N.C.L.E. I had a really fun time.

We also went to Bridger’s birthday party. We played a drawing and guessing game. Then we ate nachos. They were delicious. We played the couch game and then the team I was on won.

Ellie and Brooke

On Monday it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Ashton came over, and we watched a video of Martin Luther King Jr. giving a talk about his dream.

All the Older's went to Sophies birthday party while me Ashton, Caleb, Monte, Dad, and Mom watched a movie called The Green Book. It was about segregation in the country in the 1960s, and a white man that gets hired to be a cab driver for a piano player that is black. It was a good movie and was amazing!

Nothing to really report this week beyond the holiday. I was up with the family for MLK Day, and we sat and watched the actual, “I Have a Dream” speech. It was a great reminder as to why we have that holiday each year and the state of our country and freedom since then.

Then we watched The Greenbook which is also about civil rights. It always seems that right as the school semesters begin there’s some type of holiday to break it up right at the beginning, which is honestly kind of nice.

Dad’s MCOM class (last semester)

This semester at BYU I'm studying all about kids and families. I'm in classes for childhood psychology and development, as well as a class on eternal families.

This semester is going to require very good time management. Having a new baby at home, while doing school and applying for jobs doesn't leave much wiggle room, but Endia and I are happy and blessed, even with a busy schedule.

I've had some more job interviews this week—nothing promising yet—but I am grateful for the extra time to spend with Owen and Endia.
