VOLUME 12 – NUMBER 540
Shot from MyPack intro video
Whew! After months and months of trying to find time to create an intro video for the MyPack website, we have finally finished the rough cut of our intro video. We filmed the footage a couple weeks ago, and on Saturday, I finished an initial edit of the footage, including background music.
I’m so excited to get this close to being done. I still need to add in the graphics and do final edits, but then we can add this to our website and redesign the website to match the message of the video.
Endia has done research on other dog training sites, and has compiled great marketing advice for this video, as well as a suggested message and layout of the new website. I think this will help our marketing message be more compelling, and will hopefully help us increase sales.
I want to thank Mom for being willing to be the face in front of the camera. It’s not easy sitting there for a couple hours while I film the scene over and over and give feedback to her each time. I think it turned out beautifully!

This week, we decided to combine the Lego tub with most of our Lego sets that have been on display on the shelves in the Bunkhouse. It was pretty cool! There were so many Legos spread all over the ground!
We decided to start with building houses, and then we would be able to build our own ships. The main goal for this project was to use our imagination, instead of just building Lego sets based on the included instructions!
I was also set apart as the teachers quorum president on Sunday, and Dad took a picture of me next to the other three priesthood key holders in the ward: President Moran from the elders quorum, President Dominic Moran from the deacons quorum, myself, and Bishop Riquelme. It’s crazy that I was almost the tallest person in the photo!

It was my birthday this last week, and I went almost the whole day without someone at work knowing! I almost escaped, but then right at 4:45pm, the mission department sent its weekly email, which includes full-time employees who have birthdays.
My co-worker Melanie, just happened to read it right before I was about to leave. They weren’t too happy I tried to keep it a secret from all of them.
That night I had a date with a girl named Scout. It was kind of funny because when I asked her and we decided to do it on Monday, I had completely forgotten it was going to be my birthday. By the time I remembered, it was already set, and so I just went with it. But honestly it was a great way to spend it! This was our second date, and it was a lot of fun!

So, I broke the yellow car. We were breaking Lego sets. It was Kai, Quinn, Caleb, Troy, and me. We kept breaking Legos and it was super fun.
Then the bell rang. I went upstairs and sat on the couch. I rang the bell again and everyone came. Then Mom and Dad brought pizza!
I don’t remember what movie we watched. Then my stomach was hurting really bad, and I threw up. Then I went to Mom and Dad’s room to sleep.

When I was a kid, a book series came out that I absolutely fell in love with. I read all the books multiple times and would imagine myself in the books all the time. It is right up there with Harry Potter for me! They came out with a movie several years ago that just did not work.
Now Disney just came out with a new TV series for Percy Jackson and the Olympians! Some of my siblings also love the books as much as I do, so I decided to go up to West Jordan on Tuesday when the next episode released and have a little watch party with everyone.
The show is so good and really brings the books to life! I had so much fun watching it with everyone, and everyone at home was happy to get some time to hold and adore Owen!

Me and some of the kids decided to destroy several of the Lego sets and combine them into a giant communal Lego tub. There were a lot of mixed feelings, but the argument for our free imaginations won.
Also I had fun while Endia, Cougar, and Owen came up to watch the new Percy Jackson series. Endia also had the idea to buy some movie themed treats.
I made sure to enjoy my time before my next infusion which I had on Thursday. Before my infusion I was trying to prepare myself so that the sickness afterwards wasn't as bad. I am grateful for the full two good weeks that I had to enjoy before my chemo treatment.

Ashton didn't come to our house on his birthday because he was on a date.
I have been doing school a lot and I am ahead in all my classes with 85% and above. I like the classes that I'm taking. They are pretty easy. I am taking Spanish, language arts, math, science, and social studies.
To help with Caleb’s Lego plan, I destroyed two Lego sets. It was really fun. Then the bell rang and we went up and ate pizza. The end.

This week Jen went with myself, Isaac, and Kai, and we saw Clue at Hale Centre Theatre. It was a really funny play. I had a really enjoyable night, and thought that they really did well mixing suspense, and comedy into a play.
One thing that I just love about plays is the talent that goes into their acting. For people that act in movies, they have multiple takes where they can get the scene right, but for these actors, it's one and done, and they have to get it right. Props to the actors for sure.
I love going to plays, and it's super sad to think that these will be my last ones before I go on my mission towards the end of the year.
