Monte working at Swig
Guess what?! I got a new job! I’m now working at Swig down by the Macey’s. I interviewed a few weeks ago, and was basically told that I have the job, but I’ve been waiting for an opening, and that day has finally arrived!
Aiden also works at Swig! I’m really excited to be working there, and I love the group I work with!
I will probably keep working at the school for a while so I can earn more money. I’ll have to see how I do with two jobs and school though.

Gloria came down to Provo this weekend and we explored BYU. We had some fun bowling and going to the Eyring Science Center. It’s so wild to me that she and Monte are almost old enough that they will soon be living this college lifestyle.
On Friday night, Selvin’s dad had a birthday party at Yarima’s house and that was so fun! I still don’t know Spanish, but honestly it says a lot that just being around each other is always so great even though there is no speaking going on.
After that, I had an intramural game, and then went with London to see The Chosen in the theater. It was a busy evening!

This week I set up all of my drives so I could get my license. I had all of my three drives right after each other.
I drove for an hour each time, which helped me to get closer to the 40 hours I need to get my license. I got most of my hours now. I just need to get a few more hours of night driving and I will be done. The instructors I had were super chill and awesome. Most of the time we just talked about what’s going on in life.
On Saturday, Ashton and I got to hangout in Provo most of the day. In the morning we went over to Endia and Cougar’s place to breakfast. After breakfast we went over to to the science museum on campus, and then we went bowling.
After that, we went to the mall and looked around. We headed home around 6:00pm. since I was going to the region dance and Ashton had a date later that night. Thank you Ashton!
Mom and Quinn at activity days party
For activity days, Sister Mendoza and the other activity days leaders put together a Valentine’s Day party with all the activity days children and their parents—a date night.
It was so fun for Mom and I to go over to the church with Quinn and Joanna. The room was beautifully decorated, and we all had a great time!

This week we went to the temple. I like going because I can feel the spirit, and I know I am doing the right thing when I am doing baptisms, because I am helping people have a chance to live with Heavenly Father and Jesus.
Endia came over and me, Kai, Caleb, and Isaac were playing Formula D when she walked in. She apparently has never played, so we started teaching her how to play while we were playing. When we finished she joined us. Caleb won and it was a pretty close game.

Endia has been recovering very well from the C-section. She’s been working out this week, and we’ve put Owen in his stroller and gone for a run as a family in the nice weather. Whenever Endia is doing Zumba in the living room, Owen can’t take his eyes off of her, and it gives him such a big smile.
Owen has also been working out. One night Endia found he had rolled over to his stomach, and the next day we watched him roll from his stomach to his back! This little guy loves to move, and he is strong.
Brooke accidentally matched with her sister
Every Friday my friends and I go to a park and take our kids on a walk before letting them play on the playground. This Friday was rainy, so we all went to one friend’s house and chatted while the kids played together.
It was funny because my sister and I showed up wearing very similar outfits, and her daughter and my girls were also wearing matching outfits, so we all matched without planning it—ha ha!
Nothing too crazy happened this week. The thing I was most excited about was when my candle package got delivered! I got some new fragrances and some containers to make three wick candles.
It’s been so fun for me to learn how to make candles and I’m excited to start experimenting with mixing fragrances!

Things are going well for Caleb. He has had four of his six chemo treatments, and has been having a lot more good days than bad days lately. He still has side effects from the chemo, but his leg and hip pain, and the pain from walking has completely gone away. We are so relieved that the treatments seem to be working. It has truly been miraculous.
With Aura, who has also been going through chemo treatments, things have not gone as well. She is on her fourth round of treatments, and is in a lot of pain most of the time. She has been so amazing with Caleb, and when they get together, it seems to do both of them a lot of good—our “cancer buddies.”

For 20 years, we have been close friends with the Zimmerman family. In the past couple years, they have gone through a very difficult time as their daughter, Addy (Ashton’s age) has also suffered from cancer. Like Caleb, she has lymphoma, but a more difficult type than Caleb. For her, things were much more difficult, but she is in recovery.
It has been such a blessing to have friends that have been through a similar trial, and can help point us in the right direction when questions come up. It was also so nice of them to stop by and visit this week. We love you, Zimmermans!
