VOLUME 13 – NUMBER 608

Gloria and Isaac’s graduation

This week was so fun. We took a vacation and went to Saint George for mine and Isaac's graduation. The drive was long, but it was worth it. The place that we stayed was really nice.

Veidi and I shared a room. We had the balcony window, which was really nice because in the morning, when we got up, we would just go outside and look at the sunrise. Some of us went swimming. The pool was just a couple houses down, which was really nice.

We went to a taco place for lunch. That was really yummy. Monte, Dad, Quinn, and I made a stop and saw the St. George Temple. The temple was really pretty.

Later that night, we celebrated Isaac’s birthday by having some brownies and ice cream. We later went to go see Thunderbolts, which was really amazing—one of my new favorites now. At some point, I did get emotional.

Isaac and I had to meet at the convention center a couple hours early so we could practice. Once it was time, I started getting really nervous just because walking in front of a lot of people makes me nervous.

I got emotional toward the end because my biological family came and supported me. I am the second one out of our whole family to graduate from high school.

After the graduation was over, we went to Mountain Mike’s Pizza. That was really good. The pizzas were huge. We had time to visit there, which was really nice.

Getting caught up and having my family support me was really great. Also, Riley came and supported me too. He drove with Caleb and Ashton.

Isaac's birthday, a vacation at St. George, and Gloria and Isaac's graduation all happened this week.

The vacation was fun. We played a lot of foosball. For Isaac's birthday, we had brownies and mint ice cream.

London, Ashton, Caleb, and Riley all came as well. We went swimming, played ping pong, relaxed in the hot tub, and went to the Smoked Taco. It’s one of my favorite places to eat and a tradition now whenever we go to St. George.

We were going to St. George, and I was so excited. When we got there, we had so much fun. There was a foosball table, and I slept on a bunk bed.

London came the next day. Ashton and Caleb came the day after. We went swimming too.

We got ice cream for Isaac’s birthday. The next day, Dad said to finish it. We left the next day.

Isaac’s St. George birthday celebration

This week was my birthday! It was a lot of fun because we got to spend the whole weekend in St. George. Since we school at Utah Online School (UOS), and that school belongs to the Washington School District, our graduation is always in St. George.

We traveled on Wednesday, which was my birthday, which was fine. We got there pretty late, and we all just went to bed.

The next day, we celebrated my birthday. London came over, and we went swimming and to a lake and paddleboarded, which was super fun!

After that, we went back to the house and decided to go and watch Thunderbolts. I had already seen it twice before, but there was a good bunch of people who hadn't seen it yet, and I was totally fine watching it again.

The next day was mine and Gloria's graduation, which was pretty cool. Later in the day, we played R.E.P.O. with Caleb, Keaton, and Dad, and that was a ton of fun. I played that for a while, and then we went to bed.

The next day, we headed back home. It was a lot of fun, and I had a great time!

Watching Thunderbolts in St. George

It was so fun going down to St. George with the family! It’s been so chilly at my house, and I loved being able to be in the warmth. I can’t believe Isaac and Gloria are officially graduated. Congrats to them!

Because the weather was so hit and miss, I ended up going home from St. George a night early. The only good weather for our engagement pictures was Saturday at sunrise. Keaton’s sister took them, and she was headed back home to Michigan next week.

So we woke up at the crack of crack and drove to the sand dunes. I think they turned out sooo good, and it was actually a fun experience.

This week, Gloria and Isaac are graduating, and I am excited to have a break from dog care. On the car ride there, I got to ride in the red Tesla. Me and Quinn played games on the small screen in the back, which helped pass time. I shared a room with Gloria, and we had our own bathroom and a balcony.

On the first night, I scared myself by opening the window and seeing my reflection. Right before that, I said to Gloria, “Watch someone be standing there.” Then I told Gloria to be careful of the creepy window, and we went to bed.

We also celebrated Isaac’s birthday while we were there. Afterwards, we went to the movies to watch Thunderbolts. I loved it. We went to the graduation. Our family was there, so I went to say hi and help with the little kids.

Afterwards, we went to eat pizza, and the pizzas were ginormous. Then we went back to the house, got in our swimsuits, and went swimming. We played Infection Shark and Stuck in the Mud. Then we got in the hot tub.

Later, me and Ashton went to the store to get stuff for s’mores, and we had a good chat about stuff—mostly about guys. When we were doing s’mores, me, Ashton, Kai, and Caleb had a fun talked where we laughed a lot? That was a great last night there. Then we went home the next morning.

When we got home, it was about 4:00pm, so there were still a few hours until the region dance, which was at our stake center. Ashton and Isaac drove me there, and Ashton was weird about it. He said, “Ah, look what we have here—a lot of eligible bachelors.” I said no, and Isaac said, “Ew, no. They probably are like all 15-year-olds.” Then Ashton said, “Just kidding,” and dropped me off.

I met up with Isabell. I thought she was going to stay there the whole time, but like 10 minutes in, she said she and her friends were going to leave and do a campfire. Then she said I should go with them, but I said no—I came to the dance, and that’s what I told my parents, so I was going to stay.

She left, and I was alone. Then Nash Horner came up to me, and we started to talk. I asked if I could hang out with him because Isabell left, and he said yes. Then we did a challenge on who could dance with the most people, and I won—I danced with six guys.

I had a fun time, but some of the kids were pretty immature. Then I went home, had food, and played Switch with the boys.

This week we went to St. George for Isaac's and Gloria's graduation. We left on Wednesday and came home Saturday. We also brought Misha, Mable, and Max with us. When we got there, I had forgotten which place we picked to stay, but then I remembered it was the one with the foosball table and ping pong.

We played a lot of foosball. It was fun. London also came on Thursday, and we had a lot of fun.

On Saturday, we went to the graduation ceremony. My biological family came too, and so did Ashton and Caleb. They barely made it in time.

After the ceremony, we went to a pizza place called Mountain Mike’s. Their pizza was huge. So me, Caleb, Ashton, Kai, and Isaac took up the challenge to eat one whole pizza. We did it—it was pretty easy. I had six slices.

When we got home from dinner, we went night swimming. We played Shark and Stuck in the Mud. One person was the catcher with their eyes open, and if they tagged us, we would be stuck. Someone had to swim under our legs for us to move again.

St. George was so fun. The next time we’ll be there for a graduation will be in two years.

Braden and I went to the optometrist this week, and I was honestly so excited. I’ve had glasses since I was in eigth grade, but I mostly only used them to see the whiteboard in school.

Well, eigth grade was a long time ago, and my eyes have gotten significantly worse since then. So I was pretty excited to have an eye exam to fix the problem.

I decided to also get contacts since I don’t want to be wearing glasses every day. I did not expect to struggle as hard as I did to get them in and out. It was pretty frustrating at first. It didn’t help that I was getting headaches as my eyes were getting used to the contacts.

Luckily, I’m getting better and faster at putting them in, and my eyes are adjusting.

Children playing in pool

We had our annual Top Golf event for MTC employees on Tuesday. It seems like this is usually a highlight for everyone who comes because of all the people they get to meet and spend time with. The energy is always great, and it’s a fun way to connect.

On Friday, Caleb, Riley, and I drove down to Saint George for Gloria and Isaac’s graduation. It was a quick little vacation, but it was so fun! We got to celebrate and enjoy some sunshine.

After the pool, Veidi and I went to Walmart to get some stuff for s’mores. We all spent time roasting them over the fire, which made for a cozy evening. Caleb kept us entertained with some random questions that turned into a hilarious game of survival.

We even used ChatGPT to help us figure out how high our odds of winning were. If there are any female Navy SEALs out there… Kai’s looking for a future wife, and you just might fit the bill!

So excited for Gloria and Isaac and the next stage of life they’re entering!
